Jordan and I were *shook* when we received our engagement session from Erin.  It was one of the most magical evenings — the weather was perfect, the sunset was beautiful, and the company was the best.  So, naturally, we couldn’t wait until the photos came back! Our lives get so busy sometimes and it was really nice to have this evening with J.  Even though Erin was behind the lens the whole time, it felt like we were in our own little world — just me and him.

We always thought that a photo wouldn’t be able to capture how much we love each other, but these are pretty damn close.  Working with Erin multiple times before this photoshoot allowed J and I to be so comfortable.  We weren’t worried about “getting good engagement photos”.  We simply went on a date night down by the river, talked about our day and traded kisses and ‘I love you’s” while Erin captured it all.  J and I joke that we wish there were a word stronger than love to describe how we feel.  Until we discover that word, these photos will have to do.

We wanted to keep our outfits casual, something that we would both wear on a typical date night, making us feel *as much* in our element as possible.  As a bride, you’re expected to wear white in your engagement photos, which I slightly followed, but I wanted something {like this maxi} that was a little more feminine and relaxed, while still being flirty.  We ended up loving how these outfits came together!

With under 90 days until our wedding day, we’ve got our engagement session conquered, a majority of wedding planning completed, and wedding invitations have just been ordered.   Things are moving along pretty quickly, and I actually get to try on my wedding dress for my first fitting this Friday! I haven’t seen it since I tried on the sample back in December! Needless to say, I’m very excited.

It’s crazy how fast time is flying by.  I know that this is a little bittersweet, since we only have three more months of being engaged, but I have to remind myself that this is only the beginning, because I get J as my husband very soon.

Not only do I feel blessed having our friends and family surround us with such support and love during this special time, but I’m also so thankful for you all.  Each one of you feels like a close friend that I get to share our love story with, and I want to thank you for that.
