I had the most wonderful stay at Treasure Island Beach Resort.  It was a seriously much-needed little getaway that was actually quite spur of the moment.  It was the weekend of the Kentucky Derby, and the news called for stormy and cold weather, so I decided to get out of town to somewhere warm.  I knew that St. Petersburg/Clearwater/Treasure Island area would be perfect! Hopped on a direct flight there for a 3 day weekend!

We arrived to Treasure Island Beach Resort Thursday evening and I was instantly impressed with how welcoming the staff was.  There was a cute bar full of complimentary coffee in the lobby {and they even serve freshly baked cookies and freshly squeezed juice every afternoon}.  I definitely took advantage of that when coming back from the pool!

The beach was a short walk away {if you could even call it a short walk, it was right in front!}, but since the days were a bit windy, we decided to chill by the gorgeous pool, which was a perk because we were able to order food and drinks from their in-house restaurant called BRGR Kitchen + Bar {which is where the photo of me in the stripe dress was shot}. I LOVED their food.  I could eat there for every meal, because they had the most amazing ‘burger bowls’ aka delicious salads full of veggies, flavor, and meat! My favorite things, right? Ha! We ended up becoming friends with the outdoor waiters everyday because we would continuously see them! They always knew exactly what drink I wanted {they have the best margs}.

As you can see from the photos above, their rooms are definitely spacious with gorgeous views and a lovely balcony that’s perfect for eating room service breakfast and sipping on some coffee! The room also had a gorgeous fully stocked kitchen, so you could whip up some goodies in there if you were feeling frisky.  We stopped by a market across the street and grabbed some wine, sodas, and little snacks to keep in the fridge {I always have the munchies, y’all}.

P.S. you may have seen on my Snapchat that their fitness center is also great for a quick morning or evening workout!

If you’re planning a trip to this area, I highly suggest staying at the Treasure Island Beach Resort for a relaxing stay! It’s close to downtown St. Pete’s and has tons of great local places within walking distance!  I was so sad to leave, but I know I’ll definitely be back — that’s how great my stay was!
