#FitWithASD Video: Leg Day Workout Routine

Trying something new for y’all! For those of you who follow me on Instagram and Snapchat, you know I share clips of my weekly workout routines {as well as share the full routine in words on my blog every Monday here}.  I thought it would be fun to start filming the actual workouts for you! Sometimes it’s easier to see the exercises versus read about them.

I’ll be posting more exercises too! I’m thinking maybe one or two a week to start out with, so be sure to stay tuned for more good stuff. Make sure to follow my YouTube channel to see more fitness videos as they get posted!

Please leave a comment below for any tips you have or any video recommendations you have.  Wanna hear about nutrition? supplements? muscle recovery? Let me know in the comments and I’ll be sure to put that on my to-do list!

Now, without further adieu, here’s my Monday leg day workout routine {glute focused}! Hope you enjoy!

This is SUPER helpful! I’ve been following along with your workouts for a couple months now, but I definitely find myself searching on google images or youtube some of the work outs listed, so this is really nice to be able to see everything before I begin! Seriously, if you uploaded this for every work out day, I would watch them all. I would definitely be interested in nutrition and supplement content too.

    Thank you!!

    • Hi Karen! Yay! Thrilled you love it. I probably won’t be able to film every day’s workout BUT I’ll definitely try to up it to at least 2 workouts a week if possible. There’s just a bit of a learning curve with this lol. Oh, and I’ll def be doing a post on nutrition and supplements! Thanks for your kind words! Xx

  2. Caitlyn says:

Love this! Watching workout videos is one of my favorite things to do so I can find more exercises to do!

  3. Maggie says:

This is so helpful! You are so inspiring and I can’t wait to see more videos!

Thank you for posting this! So super helpful. Your blog is always so inspiring! Keep up the videos for sure. I do have two questions for you. 1 – How do you decide what exercises to do when creating a workout? Do you have a rotation? Or a list that you just choose from? And 2 – Do you have any advice on losing fat and feeling stuck? I eat clean, track macros, and workout 5-6 times per week. But I have stomach fat that feels like it will not budge. Any ideas for me? Thank you!!

    • Hi Allison! Glad you enjoyed and thank you for your sweet words! Here are some answers (I think): 1. I typically have standard exercises that I really like. I’ve got a whole arsenal of glute workouts, and then there are the standard ‘basics’ like squats, deadlifts, etc. I also create new ones by seeing something at the gym and getting inspired. Pretty much I include anything that gives a good burn haha. 2. Plateauing in weight loss is definitely an issue that most people face. I would suggest adding a quick ab routine at the end of every workout. Maybe make a goal of 100 reps every day. Everyone is different — people lose fat at different places first. For example, the first thing for me to go is my booty, and then my stomach. If you’ve been tracking your macros carefully, I suggest carb cycling for a week. Cut your carbs pretty low for a 2-3 days (like 20-40 g low) and then have a high carb day (1.5x your usual carb intake) right after full of healthy and filling carbs (think sweet potatoes, brown rice, oats). That usually helps get you out of a plateau. Then, return to your normal macros. Remember to hit your hydration every day (I drink 100-120 oz) and to refrain from white starch and refined sugar. Some bodies don’t do well with fruit (due to the sugar), so maybe try cutting that out of your diet for a week to see how your body reacts. Hope that helps! Xx

      • Allison says:

Thank you so much!! That was all very helpful and I will try it all. And I think I will get the Polar strap you use as well to track even more closely! Thanks! 🙂

  6. Emily says:

Would LOVE more info on nutrition and sups!

  7. Jolie says:

I am so excited you started doing this! Can you add the weights you use for each exercise just as a reference point? That would be helpful. And I would love a “What I Eat In A Day” videoThanks!

    • Hi Jolie! Thanks for your kind words! I typically don’t include the amount of weight because I don’t want people to use that as an example and then accidentally injure themselves if it’s too much. My best advice would be to start low and build the weight with each set until you find one you’re comfortable with! What I eat in a day is definitely a great video idea! I’ll share that soon! Xx

  8. Olivia says:

Love seeing this. Would also love more content on nutrition and supplements!

  9. Sheena says:

You rock! Would love to insight on lighter vs. heavier weight and how you choose your weights 🙂

    • Weights are so subjective, but I can try to include them for reference! I just don’t want others to think they can do the same weight as me and then get injured, ya know? You should always pick something that’s heavy enough and challenging, but not injuring. Hope that helps! xx

  10. Lauren says:

It was nice to have a video! I would like to see future topics about nutrition- what you typically eat, if you count macros, etc.
    love the content!!!

  11. Alice says:

I notice you wear a lot of lululemon? Is it worth the price? I’ve read reviews of leggings stretching and the fabric not lasting. I would love to try them if they’re as comfortable as everyone says!

    • Hi Alice! I swear by their align pant. You’re right, it is pricey, but totally worth it. Not EVERYTHING they have is worth it, but the items I feature typically are, especially the leggings. They aren’t ever see through and the align feels as though you have a naked sensation. Mine has never stretched out either. If they ever pill at the seam, you can return them whenever (they have warrantee) for a new pair. Hope that helps! xx

  12. Alex says:

This is awesome! Thank you! I’ve been wanting to do a lot of exercises but wan’t really sure what they were when I looked online. This was very helpful.

I tried it tonight and it kicked my butt! Can’t wait to do more

  13. Kim says:

Amazing! Thank you so much for posting this. 🙂

  14. Pearl says:

This is great now that I’m looking to change up my workouts after leaning out. Would love to see a glute focused video! Thanks for all the inspo!

  15. Lisa says:

Great videos. I love to see different exercise options. My only suggestion would be to do voice dubbing over the exercises, talk about your setup, proper alignment, weights, what muscle it’s working. I’d prefer the voiceover to the music. But that’s my preference.

The Proposal

It’s crazy what can happen in a year. I met the love of my life and the rest is history. I was having a hard time ending this post, because frankly, I think I could talk about that evening forever. Then I realized that this post doesn’t have an ending, but instead, a beginning. Thank you so much for all of the love, excitement, and gratitude.
