I’m so excited to recap my beautiful stay at the Westin Resort & Spa Whistler in British Columbia from this past weekend.  What an amazing and beautiful fall getaway!  If you’ve been following along on Instagram & Snapchat, then you definitely know that Danielle from Shop Dandy and I had an absolute BLAST there!

We flew into Vancouver, which is only about 2 hours from Whistler — and trust me, the drive is absolutely beautiful.  Waterways and mountains the whole entire way.  It’s so picturesque that I almost didn’t want the drive to end.

We arrived to the Westin Resort & Spa Whistler on Monday and were greeted by the cutest little village and such friendly staff.  Once unpacked, we indulged in a late night dinner and some wine at their in-house restaurant, the Grill & Vine.  There were fire pits everywhere, which made the night so cozy {and I can’t forget to mention the cute fireplace and balcony in our room}.  There are also in-house shops and stores that are perfect for exploring without actually leaving the property!

The resort’s amenities are ah-mazing.  I was able to get a great workout in every single day, because their fitness center was on point.  Their spa is also absolutely gorgeous {plus they have heated indoor and heated outdoor pools}!  We were so excited to explore the whole village — there’s something about its charm that makes you never want to leave.  All of the restaurants, coffee shops, and boutiques were just what we needed for a fun day and you could walk everywhere.  The weather was also perfect: a crisp 60 degrees with autumn leaves.

Every morning, we indulged in some in-room breakfast.  I think I developed an addiction to their egg white/broccoli/goat cheese frittata {and their fresh kale juice}. Luckily, we had a full kitchen, so coffee in the mornings and snacks throughout the day were so easy to get our hands on.

I also don’t think I could ever beat working on my computer by the fire with a chunky sweater and a glass of wine.  Also, did y’all see that view from our balcony?! Crazy.

One night, we had quite the experience at the Bearfoot Bistro.  If you’re ever in Whistler, I highly recommend both this restaurant, as well as the Grill & Vine in the Westin.  When we arrived to the Bearfoot Bistro, Danielle and I were taught how to saber a champagne bottle in their underground wine cellar {which was huge, by the way}.  You can even take the cork home for good luck.  We then experienced an amazing wine/food pairing for dinner.  The wine selection was all from local areas, which was super cool {and delicious} to taste.

Oh, and that icy blue picture above is what we experienced in their Ketel One Ice Room.  We tasted 4 different types of vodka in their ice room at -25 degrees Fahrenheit.  Of course, they had complimentary Canada Goose parkas for anyone who visits the ice room! The only problem is that Danielle maaaaay have worn a dress, so she was struggling a bit.  I never thought that I would actually enjoy 4 shots of vodka — but with the extreme chilly environment, it allows you to really taste the flavor profiles of each kind.  After this fun experience, we decided to hit their champagne lounge for another cocktail {because, why not?}, and their mixologists all had delicious cocktails for us to try!

Overall, this was such a F-U-N trip! I’ve never been to this part of Canada, so it was quite the treat to experience all of it for a week at the Westin Whistler.  We also ended up making a pit stop at a nearby pumpkin patch and apple orchard — the Westin concierge made it so easy for us to distinguish where we were going, etc.  They were always helping us with everything and were patient and accommodating!
