Happy happy Monday! I’m so excited to finally style these lasercut leggings from Solow! They’re by the same brand that made this ah-mazing outfit! These lasercut leggings just make me feel like I can conquer anything at the gym — it’s crazy what a good activewear outfit can do for ya! I’m currently in Napa, but no worries, Andrew and I packed a whole bunch of protein powder {casually labeled ‘protein powder not coke’}, oatmeal, protein bars, and we’ve already found a gym that we love! This week should be a blast, but I can never forget about my weekly workout routine #girlgains. Check it out below!

Monday: Legs {Quads, Hamstrings, Glutes, Calves} + HIIT

  • Single Leg Deadlifts w/ Kettlebell: 8 reps each leg, 4 sets
  • Romanian Deadlift: 8 reps, 4 sets
  • Weighted Squat Jumps on Smith Machine {light weight; jump wide then jump narrow and repeat}: 15 reps, 4 sets

*after completed a set of each exercise, do 10 burpees // you’ll be doing 40 burpees*

  • Barbell Thrusts: 12 reps, 4 sets
  • Adductor with Cable: 12 reps each leg, 4 sets
  • Abductor with Cable: 12 reps each leg, 4 sets

*after each set, sprint on the stairmaster for 2 full minutes*

  • Kickbacks with Cable: 12 reps each leg, 4 sets
  • Sumo Front Squats: 15 reps, 4 sets
  • Jump Lunges: 30 reps total, 4 sets

*after each set, do 10 burpees*

Tuesday: Shoulders & Biceps + HIIT

*Superset these!*

  • Lateral Raises {heavy}: 8 reps, 3 sets
  • Shoulder Press: 10 reps, 3 sets
  • Alternating Front Raise: 8 reps each arm, 3 sets 
  • Sumo Deadlift High Pull: 8 reps, 3 sets
  • Plate Raises: 10 reps, 3 sets
  • Pike Push Ups {hits the shoulders not the chest}: 10 reps, 3 sets
  • Incline Alternating Bicep Curls: 12 reps each arm, 5 sets
  • Hammer Curls using Cable Rope: 12 reps, 5 sets

Wednesday: Take a Full Body Class like TRX, typically focuses on core & glutes

Thursday: Chest & Back + Low Intensity Cardio

*Superset these!*

  • Bent Over Barbell Row: 10 reps, 3 sets
  • Lay Down Push-Ups: 15 reps, 3 sets
  • Single Arm Cable Row: 8 reps each arm, 3 sets
  • Incline Chest Press: 8 reps, 3 sets
  • Pull-Ups {assisted or unassisted}: until failure, 3 sets
  • Chest Flyes {cable or dumbbell, whatever isn’t being used!}: 10 reps, 3 sets
  • End with burning out your chest with 50 total push-ups — take a break when needed, and you can always utilize your knees for assistance!

Friday: Legs {Mostly Glutes} & Abs + HIIT ….OR optional rest day

*lift heavy*

  • Lunge Pulses: 15 reps each leg, 4 sets
  • Goblet Squats: 12 reps, 4 sets
  • Donkey Kicks: 12 reps each leg, 4 sets

*sprint on treadmill for 0.25 mile after each set*

  • Single Leg Kettlebell Deadlift: 8 reps each leg, 4 sets
  • Weight Plate Thrusts {laying on a mat}: 10 reps, 4 sets
  • Sumo Squats: 15 reps, 4 sets

*sprint on stairmaster for 2 full minutes*

  • Curtsy Lunges: 10 reps each side, 4 sets
  • Cable Rope Pull Through: 12 reps each leg, 4 sets
  • Cable Kickbacks: 15 reps, 4 sets

*Make sure to add your favorite ab routine at the end!*

Saturday: Triceps & Shoulders + HIIT

  • Lateral Raises: 8 reps, 3 sets
  • Tricep Kickbacks: 10 reps each arm, 3 sets
  • Upright Row: 10 reps, 3 sets
  • Tricep Cable Rope Pulldowns: 15 reps, 3 sets
  • Shoulder Press using Cable + Bar: 8 reps, 3 sets
  • Skull-Crushers: 8 reps, 3 sets
  • Front Raise with Weight Plate: 10 reps, 3 sets
  • Tricep Dips: 10 normal reps, 10 pulses, 3 sets

Sunday: Rest Day

I was just looking for something to take me to the next level but I love the strength I am gaining I love lifting now!     • YESS! So excited for you — thanks for sharing! Glad you’re kicking bootay at the gym. I’m really sensitive to the taste of stevia, so I don’t typically eat quest bars BUT if you’re not as sensitive, power crunch wafer bars are really good {minus the stevia taste}. I’ve just bought OH Yeah One Bars in birthday cake and chocolate chip cookie dough and they’re AMAZING! The birthday cake ones actually have sprinkles on them….I think Vitamin Shoppe is running a buy 1 get 1 half off sale {not sure if it’s still going on}, but that’s when I stocked up on those. My favorite protein powder is Beverly International UMP Cookies n Cream and Vanilla — great quality and even better taste! It’s like my little treat every day, and doesn’t taste like other funky protein powders. It’s a little bit pricey though {I buy it from Vitacost and typically use a coupon}. Keep up the good work!

    Hi! When you say “super set these” are you doing all of the exercises back to back and that is one whole set? Or breaking them in between? Also, what type of HIIT work outs do you do? How long are these workouts?

    I plan to start them next week and want to know how much time to give myself in the gym. 🙂

    • Hi there! Super set means do them in pairs. So do one set of the first one, one set of the second one and then repeat. Once you’re done with the first and second exercises {meaning you’ve done all of those sets}, then move on to the third and fourth exercises. Also, my HIIT changes. I love love love stairmaster sprints because it gets my heart rate up quickly, but you can do anything you’d like. You can pretty much do sprints on any machine or you can make a circuit of your own like squat jumps, burpees, jumping jacks, etc. If you have knee problems or joint pain, I would do something with low impact like spinning or an elliptical on a low incline. I typically do sprints on and off {meaning 1 minute on, 1 minute rest} for 20 minutes. Hope that helps!

There’s not a day that goes by when I don’t feel so blessed to be Jordan’s wife. He is my everything. These photos and video are the sweetest reminder of our love for one another.
