Yesssss, here it is! My Travel Guide To Napa: St. Helena, Part 2!  If you haven’t read Part 1, then definitely do so over here! I can’t believe that I only spent a few days in St. Helena, but it felt like so much longer.  There’s so much to see and experience — your days are long and are perceived to stretch over 24 hours.  Typically, I wouldn’t be too fond of this, but in this case, it’s the best feeling in the world! I’m so glad I got the chance to soak up every second of the day with my beautiful surroundings and with my wonderful company {hey, that’s you, Andrew!}.

For the remainder of my trip in St. Helena, Andrew and I stayed at the Harvest Inn, which was just down the street of where we were staying prior.  We were surprised to see a very intimate cluster of buildings and a quaint room to stay in — it felt like an upscale bed and breakfast.  I loved the old-fashioned and charming feel of the room, which had a wood-burning fireplace {p.s. be careful putting it out because your clothes might smell!}.  There was a private balcony/porch area with a lounge area, which was so nice to have!  Andrew and I ended up indulging in their bottle of wine that they provide each room and sitting out on the porch.  I also took full advantage of their perfectly sized fridge and Keurig — hence, me chilling in bed with a big ol’ cup of coffee and some comfy pajamas. I always pack pajamas with me when I travel because you never know when you’ll have time to relax! A few of my favorite pjs currently are this pair, this night shirt, and these pants!

The bathroom was spacious, providing more than enough room for both Andrew and me {and all of my toiletries and makeup, which are equivalent to another person}.  We even walked over to their fitness center for an evening workout.  Their fitness center is in-house, but extremely basic…a couple of treadmills, an elliptical, and a few dumbbells.  I wasn’t expecting anything grand though, since that would defeat the quaint feeling of the environment.  The next day, Andrew and I ended up going back to the full gym across the street {which we could still walk to and was not a problem}.

Although I didn’t get the chance to experience their restaurant, Harvest Table, I’ve heard great things about it! A few girls commented on my Instagram post, raving about its food and its cocktails! OH, and how could I forget this part? There’s complimentary breakfast every morning.  Andrew walked over to the main lobby and brought back some goodies, like eggs, bacon, and oatmeal.  It was also a plus that they offered a room service menu for all hours of the day!

Overall, my stay was cozy & charming, and the location was perfect!  I definitely recommend staying here if you’re wanting a more intimate setting!

I couldn’t go to Napa, and not get an epic kissing photo, right? The view was just too good to pass up, so Andrew and I pulled over to snap a few. He snagged a few HDR panoramic photos of this landscape, so I can’t wait to share those with you later on.

This specific photo, including that gorgeous hill of vineyards and this fabulous romper, is on the property of Flora Springs Winery.  Their winery and their tasting room are in two different locations {less than a mile a part, not bad at all}, but Andrew and I originally went to the winery by accident rather than the tasting room.  It ended up being okay because we got to see this beautiful view of their vineyards.  Brief side note: their main building is so old and gorgeous — it looked like a hidden castle!  It was a little bit chilly that day so I had this trench on my at all times to keep me warm! Another one that I’ve had my eye on for those cool summer nights is this jacket! This jacket, this trench, and this scarf would be perfect to wear for those cooler days/nights in Napa!

We ended up making our way to the tasting room, where we tried a delicious fleet of different types of wine.  We sat outside on their amazing patio and bonded with the wine expert/ambassador who was helping us.  I’m pretty sure he was the most interesting man in the world {he is a veteran at Flora Springs}, and he taught us SO much about wines, Napa, and California, in general.  Their wide assortment of patios {they have 3 different ones} and private indoor rooms {perfect for bridal suites too} make this tasting room a great one to put on the Travel Guide to Napa, St. Helena Edition!  Did I mention that it’s right next door to Dean & Deluca? So, after you’re done tasting delicious wine, pop on over to Dean & Deluca for some coffee and a sweet little treat {their black/white cookies are my ultimate favorite}.

Our next stop included another wine tasting + lunch at Velo Vino.  I’m not going to lie, this experience took me by surprise.  There’s a food truck called Bruschetteria out front of the place, and you immediately walk into a chill yet welcoming atmosphere.  I instantly felt like I was at home.  There were pillows where we were seating, we immediately clicked with our wine ambassador/expert, and hundreds of athletic adornments covered the walls.  We frequently saw cyclists come in on their break to fuel up for their ride…yet somehow we didn’t put anything together.  I just thought that the people over there at Velo Vino happened to like sports, and that all of the clif bar products are because their natural and wholesome.  Well, not quite.  Velo Vino is actually a Clif Family Winery, and Bruschetteria is a food truck {with amazing food} that can be ordered from inside while wine tasting.  You can see how delicious everything looked in the photos above! The rotisseries was probably the best not only rotisserie, but best overall chicken that I’ve ever had.  The menu is full of healthy options that fuel your body in the right ways! I mean, this is my kind of place, y’all!  The wines were just as delicious as the food and I may have fallen in love with their Grenache.

Anyways, the more we learned about the Clif Family and Gary Erickson {as we were shoving our faces with his delicious food & wine}, the more we felt…happy.  I honestly didn’t want to leave.  The inside was just as peaceful and beautiful as their outside patio, and the atmosphere was relaxing, cozy, and welcoming.  It felt like I was stopping by my mom’s house for some food.  If I felt this great just having lunch and a wine tasting, then what would happen if I tried to take a sliver of that vibe home with me.  So, consequently, I ended up buying his book on my way out, called Raising the Bar, and it’s one of the best purchases I’ve ever made.  I’m halfway through it and I love it! If you’re looking for a motivational book that just makes you FEEL happy, then this is it!  And, if you’re traveling to Napa anytime soon, then you now know that Velo Vino is definitely making your list of top places to go!

Lastly, the day went on and Andrew and I stopped by Cindy’s Backstreet Kitchen for dinner.  This is the same chef/owner of Mustard’s Grill down the street in St. Helena, which is also just as good! They receive so many of their items from their local garden planted outside of Mustard’s.  The food was so delicious and the staff was attentive and friendly.  I got the most amazing ahi tuna salad with buckwheat noodles, and I am still dreaming about it until today {check out the menu here}!  If you’re looking for a perfect place for date night while you’re visiting St. Helena, then I highly recommend Cindy’s Backstreet Kitchen!

That is currently all I’ve got for my St. Helena recap and Travel Guide to Napa {St. Helena Edition}.  If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask! Don’t forget to check out Part 1 of this Travel Guide to Napa over here!

A big thank you to Harvest Inn for sponsoring my stay, and for Flora Springs Winery, Velo Vino, and Cindy’s Backstreet Kitchen for complimentary experiences. As always, all opinions are my own.

There’s not a day that goes by when I don’t feel so blessed to be Jordan’s wife. He is my everything. These photos and video are the sweetest reminder of our love for one another. So, grab a cup of coffee, pull up a seat, and try not to bawl your eyes out (because I know we did). Every time we look through our photos and watch our video, we cry the happiest tears.

The Proposal

It’s crazy what can happen in a year. I met the love of my life and the rest is history. I was having a hard time ending this post, because frankly, I think I could talk about that evening forever. Then I realized that this post doesn’t have an ending, but instead, a beginning. Thank you so much for all of the love, excitement, and gratitude.
