This is one of my favorite combos to wear every single year.  First of all, this herringbone puffer vest has been a fall staple for how many years? It seems like ages, but I remember buying the one above from my local J.Crew store when I was home for winter break during my freshman year of college.  Woof, that’s probably a good five years.  They’ve made a few tweaks to the vest now that it’s a standard item at the factory store.  I wish that this year, they kept the color the same instead of using gray, but I think they wanted to try to switch it up after all of those years.  I mean, hey, it was worth a try, but if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. It seems like J.Crew has been doing a lot of that lately–some good fixes, some bad fixes.

This camel knit turtleneck sweater is one of my favorites from last year, and I’m so excited that it’s back in stock.  It’s great for layering and for just wearing on its own.  I’m always drawn to a good cognac and black combo during the fall, making this one of my go-to outfits!
