I can’t believe today is New Year’s Eve! Where did 2019 go?! I wanted to chat a little bit about how to stick to your New Year’s Resolutions…
2020 means a fresh start — whether that includes personal, professional, or fitness goals. I have quite a few resolutions that I’d like to put into effect in 2020. I’m no stranger to fitness resolutions. I love setting new goals and conquering them throughout the year. It’s one of my favorite things to do and I wanted to share some tips that I have for maintaining those resolutions!

Don’t Overdo It: People drastically underestimate what they can do in six months and overestimate what they can do in a month. Don’t try to absolutely *kill* it in January — cleanses, detoxes, gym everyday with no rest, etc. That’s not a recipe for success and longevity. You will burn out and what’s the point of a resolution if you can’t turn it into a longtime habit and lifestyle?
Write Down Your Goals: it’s amazing what writing down your goals can do! Think about crossing things off your To Do List — it’s a pretty satisfying feeling. This is the same kind of concept. Journaling in the mornings can also help you stick to your New Years Resolutions!
Stick to One Resolution at a Time: It’s hard enough to stick to one resolution, let alone three other resolutions. You’re more likely to stick to a resolution long term if you’re focusing on one at a time. No need to rush everything. Good things take time.

There’s not a day that goes by when I don’t feel so blessed to be Jordan’s wife. He is my everything. These photos and video are the sweetest reminder of our love for one another. So, grab a cup of coffee, pull up a seat, and try not to bawl your eyes out (because I know we did). Every time we look through our photos and watch our video, we cry the happiest tears.
It’s crazy what can happen in a year. I met the love of my life and the rest is history. I was having a hard time ending this post, because frankly, I think I could talk about that evening forever. Then I realized that this post doesn’t have an ending, but instead, a beginning. Thank you so much for all of the love, excitement, and gratitude.
One of my favorite things to do in the fall is bake my dark chocolate chip pumpkin bread! I’ve made it *so* many times for me, J, and friends & family. It’s moist, decadent, and super easy to make! It also makes for a great DIY housewarming gift.
Happy New Year to you. My resolutions are to get a promotion in my company and lose about 5 to 10 pounds for bikini season. Number 2 is easy for me. Number 1 not so much.
