Sweet summertime, y’all! J and I pride ourselves in our date nights! We never get bored and given the current pandemic circumstances, we have to sometimes get a little bit creative. Luckily, it’s summer, so finding something to do (especially outdoors) is not that difficult! Here are our 6 Summer Date Night Ideas.

This is one of our favorite things to do! We love heading to a local farm, pick some fresh strawberries or apples (depending on the season) and grab a bite of eat outdoors.
These are popping up even more so, since it allows you to stay in your cars. It’s pandemic approved (ha), so you not only can catch a movie without the germs, but you get to spend it outside! Bring a couple of chairs, a light blanket, and some drizzled popcorn (code: ASD10)!
So, J and I did this once and it was the most fun date ever! Everyone is at their separate cooking stations, so it’s socially distanced, and you get to learn some great cooking tips from an instructor, which in our case, is usually a local chef! If this isn’t available in your area, pick a fun recipe from your favorite cookbook and cook together!
We like to play a little bit of tennis, get some steps in, and catch a casual dinner or some takeout after. You could also go for a hike instead, take an outdoor yoga class, etc. There are always tons of local options. We always like to end this with roasting some s’mores in our backyard fire pit, because we earned those mallows!
Don’t downplay this one! We hop in the car, head to DQ and snag a frosted animal cookie blizzard (or two…or three…) and go for a drive. We head down to the river and watch the sunset while indulging in our fave treat.

This is more of a day date, but we love exploring our local farmer’s markets post-workout. We snag some fresh veggies and local meat after our leg day and our plans for the evening are to make dinner with those ingredients. These are my favorite kind of dates, because I love exploring what new things are at the market!

There’s not a day that goes by when I don’t feel so blessed to be Jordan’s wife. He is my everything. These photos and video are the sweetest reminder of our love for one another. So, grab a cup of coffee, pull up a seat, and try not to bawl your eyes out (because I know we did). Every time we look through our photos and watch our video, we cry the happiest tears.
It’s crazy what can happen in a year. I met the love of my life and the rest is history. I was having a hard time ending this post, because frankly, I think I could talk about that evening forever. Then I realized that this post doesn’t have an ending, but instead, a beginning. Thank you so much for all of the love, excitement, and gratitude.
One of my favorite things to do in the fall is bake my dark chocolate chip pumpkin bread! I’ve made it *so* many times for me, J, and friends & family. It’s moist, decadent, and super easy to make! It also makes for a great DIY housewarming gift.
