Hi y’all! This photo location may look a *little* familiar because I’m sharing yet another peek into the Overlook at St. Thomas Apartments! If you’ve been following along for awhile, you know I did a full recap of the Overlook last year! It’s located right in the east end off US-42, and is close to dining {like Mojito Tapas, Grassa Grama, Starbucks, Fresh Market, Westport Village, and more}, shopping, and entertainment. If you’ve been looking for east end luxury apartments, then look no further! Just a heads up: if you mention “A Southern Drawl”, you can receive $200 off your first full month’s rent!
You’re probably confused, because you know Jordan and I are homeowners BUT I know many of y’all in Louisville are on the lookout for apartments with fab amenities, so I’ve. Got. You. Covered.
Their apartments and townhomes are currently being renovated, updating them with new kitchens and baths {granite countertops, new cabinetry and marble-style tile in bathrooms}.
Renovations are great, don’t get me wrong, but amenities are really important too when looking into a place to live! The amenities at the Overlook are *unreal* and they’ve even added more this year. As you can see above, the clubhouse lounge is so inviting and was just redecorated by Natalie O designs {an interior design company here in Lou!}. There’s also the pool and cabana, which literally feels like a tropical resort! When the pool opens in a few weeks for Memorial Day, they will be adding a 65” TV to their outdoor living space. Game day just got a whollllle lot more fun!
Y’all know that fitness is huge for me, so it’s the first thing I notice when I check out any property {whether it’s the Overlook or any hotel/resort}. Their cycle and HIIT studio was just renovated and has the latest equipment for cycling and fitness on demand. It feels like you’re in a boutique cycling studio! Plus, the fitness center has pretty great machines for limited space — you can definitely get a full FITwithASD Daily Burn in! The Overlook is even starting a weekly training class on Wednesdays at 6:15 pm called Operation Overlook Fit Club. The kickoff event introduced a local trainer and wellness coach who will be leading the class for the summer! Super fun!
They even have a pet spa on site that’s getting renovated. Honestly, last year I did NOT appreciate this amenity as much as I would have now that I have Jeter haha! That is one of the most convenient amenities!
If you had to ask me what my fave part of the Overlook is, I would have to say their community and fun resident events. They just had a ‘Sip and Shop’ event, and there’s an upcoming Summer Social. Can’t forget their Wine Down Wednesday and very popular “Octoberfest” event in the fall! They even partner with local businesses for resident discounts (like the shops at Westport Village)! Pretty cool, right?

There’s not a day that goes by when I don’t feel so blessed to be Jordan’s wife. He is my everything. These photos and video are the sweetest reminder of our love for one another. So, grab a cup of coffee, pull up a seat, and try not to bawl your eyes out (because I know we did). Every time we look through our photos and watch our video, we cry the happiest tears.
It’s crazy what can happen in a year. I met the love of my life and the rest is history. I was having a hard time ending this post, because frankly, I think I could talk about that evening forever. Then I realized that this post doesn’t have an ending, but instead, a beginning. Thank you so much for all of the love, excitement, and gratitude.
One of my favorite things to do in the fall is bake my dark chocolate chip pumpkin bread! I’ve made it *so* many times for me, J, and friends & family. It’s moist, decadent, and super easy to make! It also makes for a great DIY housewarming gift.
