With the New Year in full swing, I’m all about giving y’all healthy tips to maintain your resolutions! Many of you know that I love meal prepping.  I meal prep my meals, along with J’s meals, every single week.  Monday nights are hectic at our house! I manage to get to the grocery, get enough food for the week, and cook it all within that evening.

Meal prepping is a practical way to keep you on track — but another important part of the meal prepping isn’t the actual food, it’s the containers.  You want all of the food properly sealed so that it will last you the week.  It’s also a perk when they nest within each other, so that it saves you room in your cupboard.

Now without further ado, here are my tips for How to Meal Prep:

  1. Make a detailed shopping list! This will help you conquer the grocery.
  2. Meal prep lunch and dinner for the week by cooking all at once.  Include protein, carbs, and fats for each main meal, but make sure to separate the ‘condiments’ {aka dressing on a salad}.
  3. Package snacks accordingly! A few of my fave snacks include cottage cheese, chickpea puffs, veggie straws, hummus and veggies, hard boiled eggs, and greek yogurt.
  4. Freeze certain containers if you won’t eat it in three days.
  5. Don’t complicate it– keep things simple!
  6. Utilize spices to make your healthy food exciting! Healthy food doesn’t have to taste bland!
  7. Take advantage of your slow cooker, by cooking meats in batch!

There’s not a day that goes by when I don’t feel so blessed to be Jordan’s wife. He is my everything. These photos and video are the sweetest reminder of our love for one another. So, grab a cup of coffee, pull up a seat, and try not to bawl your eyes out (because I know we did). Every time we look through our photos and watch our video, we cry the happiest tears.
