Happy New Year, sweet friends! I hope you all had an amazing NYE last night! Today, I’m teaming up with Nordstrom to give y’all some of my fave fitness tips for the New Year.  Many of y’all know that I love snagging some Alo from Nordstromtheir leggings always fit me perfectly and I love all of the fun colors and designs.  This bra has also been a fave of mine, since it gives pretty decent support and works with all of my workouts and activities!

No good activewear outfit is complete until you’ve got a killer pair of kicks.  These Nike Air Zoom Pegasus Sneakers are AMAZING! I wear them all the time and have multiple colors.  Nordstrom always comes out with new colors in them too so be on the lookout for some pretty fab color combos.

Without further ado, here are my fitness tips for the New Year so that you can reach your fitness goals! A few of these are taken from last year’s post, because they’re classic tips that make a good yearly reminder!

1) Join FITwithASD.com: if you’re lost in the gym or just wanting a little somethin’ to spruce up your workouts, give my workout program a go! 2) Consistency: You probably have heard me say this before, but consistency is key.  You must be patient with your fitness goals.  Lifestyle changes do not happen overnight and you won’t see results unless you are consistent.  This is a lifestyle, not a short-term crash diet. Motivation is what gets you started, habit is what keeps you going.

3) Plan: Make this lifestyle easier on yourself by planning your meals and your workouts. This will help you stay on track.

4) Sleep: Try to get at least 8 hours of sleep! Sleep is crucial for your body to perform properly and your muscles need to recover!

5) Hydrate: Hydration is key for a healthy lifestyle.  Your body is a machine and it can’t function as a machine if it doesn’t have water, especially since it’s made up of 70% water.  Water ensures your body to perform what it needs to perform to metabolize fat, for example, and do other bodily functions.

6) Be Realistic: You aren’t going to get rock hard abs in a few weeks.  Small daily changes compound over time to create results.  Unrealistic goals is just setting yourself up for failure.

There’s not a day that goes by when I don’t feel so blessed to be Jordan’s wife. He is my everything. These photos and video are the sweetest reminder of our love for one another. So, grab a cup of coffee, pull up a seat, and try not to bawl your eyes out (because I know we did). Every time we look through our photos and watch our video, we cry the happiest tears.
