Happy Tuesday, y’all! I feel like this wedding post should’ve been posted on a Wednesday {since Wedding Wednesday is a thing these days}, but we’ll have to go with Tuesday! I’m so excited to be teaming up with All Occasions Event Rental for our wedding. When I got together with our wedding planner, Giselle, we immediately had to pick a place for rentals. Without a doubt, we went with All Occasions! They have the best items and are so great to work with.
These photos were actually taken in their showroom in Cincinnati, but I’m so happy that they have recently opened a showroom in Louisville, KY! This is a definite perk for all you Louisville gals that are getting married — the delivery cost will decrease drastically!
Anyways, many of you know that J and I are having a cocktail style reception. Our wedding is late on an October Saturday evening {due to a 5:00 Catholic Mass}, so the reception won’t be starting until 8. I wanted something a little more laid back and fun. I didn’t want a proper seated dinner or any speeches at the wedding {all speeches will be done at the rehearsal dinner}. We wanted the reception to be a party! A cocktail buffet will be out the moment people get there and will be served all evening. There will be enough tables/seats for anyone, but no seat assignments. They will not all be tables though — we’ve rented some amazing lounge couches and side tables from All Occasions to scatter throughout the reception for a more laid back ‘party’ feel.
We will be having a main ‘head’ table for me & J, plus our bridesmaids and groomsmen. Those will have full place settings {you can see the ones we chose from All Occasions above, along with our chairs}.
We also went with All Occasions Event Rental’s classic “Whitney Bar”! We rented a few to make a pretty large one {since we have *plenty* of guests, and well, everyone loves booze}. This is going to make such a statement at the reception!
I’m so excited to see how everything turns out. Visiting the All Occasions Event Rental showroom was so much fun, because there was so much inspo EVERYWHERE! So many place settings, tables, and lounge areas! I truly wanted it all for our wedding ha, but luckily, we were able to narrow it down to some fabulous items that all create a cohesive party look.
If you’re a bride-to-be in the Kentucky, Indiana, Tennessee, or Ohio area, definitely check out All Occasions Event Rental!
A big thank you to All Occasions for sponsoring this post. As always, all opinions are my own.

There’s not a day that goes by when I don’t feel so blessed to be Jordan’s wife. He is my everything. These photos and video are the sweetest reminder of our love for one another. So, grab a cup of coffee, pull up a seat, and try not to bawl your eyes out (because I know we did). Every time we look through our photos and watch our video, we cry the happiest tears.
It’s crazy what can happen in a year. I met the love of my life and the rest is history. I was having a hard time ending this post, because frankly, I think I could talk about that evening forever. Then I realized that this post doesn’t have an ending, but instead, a beginning. Thank you so much for all of the love, excitement, and gratitude.
One of my favorite things to do in the fall is bake my dark chocolate chip pumpkin bread! I’ve made it *so* many times for me, J, and friends & family. It’s moist, decadent, and super easy to make! It also makes for a great DIY housewarming gift.
I’ve always wanted a more laid back reception. I’ve been to so many weddings and most people don’t even eat because we all are ready to party…lol So your reception sounds amazing! Praying you post some pictures. Totally understandable if you don’t being as it’s your wedding which is supper special and private.
