J and I had such a fun trip to Longboat Key, Fl last week! Our stay at the Zota Beach Resort was nothing short of magical.  As many of you know, J and I don’t take very many trips together.  He can’t take off that much, so when we do get to take a vacay together, it’s usually the best few days ever ha!

We were so so excited to be greeted at the Zota Beach Resort by friendly staff {one of which is actually from KY!} and some fresh fruit infused water — I solely put that in there because that was Jordan’s favorite part about the lobby.  We checked out the resort a bit, which is stunning by the way, and then made our way to our beach front room!

We loved the spacious room with the best amenities, and we were thrilled to have arrived to a delicious plate of assorted fruits and cheeses + wine! J and I immediately poured a glass, sat on the balcony, and enjoyed the view!

These robes were *actually* amazing and you can even buy them in their gift shop! I practically lived in them all weekend!

After chomping down on some cheese and drinking a glass of wine, we made our way to the pool area.  It was a little chilly that day, so we ended up coming down in our robes, and getting into the heated pool (85 degrees!) and hot tub.  I loved that we were able to do that!

Then, for dinner (we were starving), we had quite the epic meal at Viento Kitchen + Bar, their in-house restaurant! We started with a bottle of Carnivor Cabernet Sauvignon, some lobster dip and beef carpaccio.

We both got steaks, as we know we would be eating a lot of seafood over the weekend.  Both dishes were phenomenal!

Oh, and did I mention we shared the lobster ravioli as well? I’m still craving that ’til today!

Naturally, we ended with something sweet — Viento’s creme brulee, which surpasses all my creme brulee dreams.

For the remainder of the days, we got in a few morning workouts at Zota’s amazing fitness center.  I’m not going to lie, it wasn’t *huge*, but it was more than I had seen for a resort/hotel. Typically when I see a cable machine, I exhale a sigh of relief — Zota had not one, but two, cable machines {they clearly knew both J and I were coming haha}.

We also relaxed by the pool {thankful that the weather had warmed up} and by the beach.  The pool menu was SO good and it was so refreshing to be able to eat well without moving from a lounge chair ha! There were tons of fresh salads and sandwiches to choose from.

We were even able to kayak {or paddle board}, which can be set up by their concierge!  They also have lovely private poolside cabanas, stocked with a fridge, safe, towels, and lounge area.  OH, and a TV! That came in handy when J wanted to watch the Jags v. Pats game!

I mean, if y’all watched my Insta Story, then you know that I was obsessed with their Zota-Ritas.  Like, OBSESSED.  They were so refreshing and tasty, and I felt like I knew the bartenders/waiters by the end of our trip.  They were always so caring and friendly.

Lastly, most of the evenings, we made our way to St. Armand’s Circle, Downtown Sarasota, Siesta Key, or Anna Marie Island.  They were all just a short uber away, and all had cute shops, restaurants, and night life.  There’s something magical about being in a different city with Jordan.  I think it’s the idea of being somewhere new with someone you love.  Creating new experiences is one of my favorite things to do with him.

We would end each evening at home base, Zota.  We would crack a joke to the concierge and valet guys, wave to Christian at the front desk, tell the outdoor bartender as we walked by that I don’t need another Zota-Rita {insert eye roll}, and then we would make our way back to our room and turn on a movie.  It was nice to feel like we had family for a few days on this vacay, and that’s exactly what Zota Beach Resort felt like!
