This gray crop top is a favorite workout top of mine! I have it in a few colors because I love all muscle tanks AND it’s currently on sale here! Just hurry and snag one before it sells out, because Lululemon sale section sells out SO quickly.  I’m also SO excited that my fave dark olive align leggings are BACK in STOCK! This color has been a crowd favorite, including my own, and I’m so glad that they came back out with it.  Wahoo! Just a heads up, that I like to size down one size in all of their leggings for a more snug fit.

This week’s workout routine is below!

Monday: Legs {Quads, Hamstrings, Glutes, Calves} + HIIT

  • Squats on Squat Rack: 10 reps, 4 sets
  • Single Leg Deadlift {using kettlebell}: 10 reps each leg, 4 sets
  • Weighted Dumbbell Squats with Resistance Band around Thighs: 12 reps, 4 sets
  • Bulgarian Split Lunges: 10 reps each leg, 4 sets
  • Barbell Hip Thrusts: 8 reps, 8 pulses, 3 sets
  • Cable Kickbacks: 12 reps each leg, 3 sets
  • End with Burpees: for 2 minutes

Tuesday: Shoulders & Abs + HIIT

  • Alternating Lateral Raises: 12 reps each, 3 sets
  • Lateral Raises {together, not alternating}: 12 reps, 3 sets
  • Reverse Grip Face Pulls {upper pulley on cable while sitting on the ground}: 12 reps, 3 sets
  • Upright Row: 12 reps, 3 sets
  • Straight Raises {using cable low pulley}: 12 reps, 3 sets
  • Shoulder Press {*heavy*}: 10 reps, 3 sets
  • End with a shoulder press burn-out {*lighter weight*}: 25 reps

Wednesday: Legs {Mostly Glutes} + HIIT

*superset these!*

  • Alternating Jump Lunges: 30 reps total, 3 sets
  • Weighted Step-Ups: 15 reps each leg, 3 sets
  • Dumbbell Sumo Squat: 15 reps with 10 pulses, 3 sets
  • Single Leg Squat {hold kettlebell/dumbbell, and squat to a bench until you’re fully seated, then get back up}: 10 reps each leg, 3 sets
  • Leg Extensions: 10 reps with both legs, 8 reps each leg, 3 sets
  • Single Weighted Lunges with TRX strap {put one foot in the TRX strap and lunge, then switch}: 15 reps each leg, 3 sets

Thursday: Biceps & Back + Low Intensity Cardio {Fat-Burning}

*Superset these!*

  • Single Arm Seated Rows: 8 rep hold each, 3 sets
  • High Pulley Bicep Curl: 10 reps each arm, 3 sets
  • Wide Grip Lat Pulldown: 12 reps, 3 sets
  • Bicep Curls with Barbell: 28 method, 3 sets
  • Body Weight Back Row {I use the bar on the smith machine}: 15 reps, 3 sets
  • Bicep Curls with Weight Plate: 15 reps, 3 sets
  • Bent Over Barbell Row: 10 reps, 3 sets
  • Alternating Hammer Curls: 10 reps each, 3 sets

Friday: Take your favorite Group Fitness class!

Saturday: Chest & Triceps + HIIT

*superset these!*

  • Chest Press to Chest Fly on Bench: 12 reps of each, 3 sets
  • Tricep Pushdown: 12 reps, 3 sets
  • Bosu Push-Ups: 12 reps, 3 sets
  • Bosu Tricep Push-Ups: 12 reps, 3 sets
  • Cable Chest Fly: 10 reps, 4 sets
  • Single Arm Tricep KickBack on Low Pulley Cable: 12 reps each arm, 4 sets

Sunday: Rest Day

They’ve worked out so well for me – I can feel so much more definition around my arms and shoulders, and even if it doesn’t look that different to most people, it’s a very empowering feeling to have some amount of strength and muscle as a female!

    Do you do your strength training before your cardio/HIIT? Have you found that your pre- and post-workout supplements have helped tone and build lean muscle? Looking to get back into strength training after slacking for a few years. Thanks!

    • It depends on what I feel like, but it doesn’t matter when you do your cardio! I do think that post-workout protein really helps in gaining muscle. BCAAs help with muscle recovery, so that you can work out that same muscle quicker! I suggest investing in some BCAAs and protein powder! xx
