To be honest, spring and I have a love/hate relationship.  I have terrible allergies, especially living in KY, but I usually get SO excited that it’s finally warm out that I want to go frolick and do cool outdoor things.  I typically just suck it up, bring some tissues, eye drops, and nasal spray, and call it a day.

Every spring, Andrew and I always head to the waterfront for a romantic spring picnic.  However, our picnics mostly involve just the wine and no food ha!  On a rare occasion, we’ll pick up some carry-out and bring it, but there’s something so simple and peaceful about sipping on a good glass of wine by the water {and by water, I mean river — we’ll take what we can get}.  When Andrew and I first started dating over three years ago, he surprised me with some gorgeous flowers, my favorite wine, and took me for a romantic spring picnic by the water.  Ever since then, we try to visit this spot when we get some down time and when we just want to relax a little bit.
