Ugh, aren’t these views just crazy beautiful? Andrew and I snapped them while in Colorado a few weeks ago. We hopped in the car one day and just drove around. He has been going to Crested Butte since he was a little one, so he drove me to all the places he used to go when he was young. Both of these spots shown above, which are down the street from each other, are located next to the river he typically rafts down {err, I’ll sit white water rafting out please}.
Needless to say, everything was just gorgeous…even the scary/fast-flowing river. The location of the photos where I’m sitting on the fence is actually on a massive farm. These were taken right by someone’s house {I’m assuming the family who owns the farm}, and it suddenly hit me that they get to wake up every morning to that view.
Yes, everything was stunning, but it was still freezing. It’s different in Colorado though, because the cold is worth it since you can explore and do activities. I never minded the freezing temps at all — not once — and in fact, hiked in it and loved every minute of it. It makes me a little bitter about Kentucky winters, because we have to face that bone-chilling cold but without the views and activities.
To get me through those low temps, I doubled {and even sometimes tripled} up on layers. I wore this synchilla pullover, which is SO warm, and layered that underneath my Patagonia packable down jacket {which is 10x warmer than the pullover if that’s even possible}. Paired together, I didn’t feel a thing. Oh, and of course, you know my feelings about these boots, so I won’t bore you any longer than I have to, but as y’all know, they’re keepers.
Hope you’re having a fabulous Thursday! Louisville got a whole bunch of snow, with more to come, so maybe I’ll go explore some rolling hills, rather than mountains.

There’s not a day that goes by when I don’t feel so blessed to be Jordan’s wife. He is my everything. These photos and video are the sweetest reminder of our love for one another. So, grab a cup of coffee, pull up a seat, and try not to bawl your eyes out (because I know we did). Every time we look through our photos and watch our video, we cry the happiest tears.
It’s crazy what can happen in a year. I met the love of my life and the rest is history. I was having a hard time ending this post, because frankly, I think I could talk about that evening forever. Then I realized that this post doesn’t have an ending, but instead, a beginning. Thank you so much for all of the love, excitement, and gratitude.
One of my favorite things to do in the fall is bake my dark chocolate chip pumpkin bread! I’ve made it *so* many times for me, J, and friends & family. It’s moist, decadent, and super easy to make! It also makes for a great DIY housewarming gift.
Hey! Love this outfit. I’m new to the fashion blogging world. Question for ya…which plugin do you use for the “Shop the post” carousel at the bottom of the post? I’ve been looking around like crazy and can’t figure out how to do it. Any advice would be helpful, thank you!!
