I practically wore this outfit, including a horse sweater, a few years ago on here for a beginning-of-fall outfit post! I loved it so much that I wanted to recreate it this year.  I’m a sucker for tartan plaid {or any plaid, if we’re being honest} and I absolutely love layering with it during the fall.  It pretty much goes with anything when you layer it!  Although this particular plaid shirt is old, there are two very similar ones here & here that are at pretty decent price points.

Since this outfit– some type of crewneck sweater and a layered plaid shirt underneath–always reminds me of fall, I went ahead and styled it with my absolute FAVORITE booties…ever.  Just a heads up: they take a few days to break in! Once you do, they’re extremely comfortable! I broke them in during my NY trip, which probably wasn’t the best idea, but now I could probably run a marathon in them and be okay.  I’m contemplating getting one of the other colors, but can’t decide on which one!

Side note: there was the cutest little kitty watching me and Andrew while taking these photos on one of the window sills!
