Well.  Today’s the day…it’s my birthday, and I’m {not} feeling 22.  Between you and me, I’ve been slightly dreading this day for awhile now. It seems like there are no exciting birthdays after 21.  I get to rent a car at 25–that’s about as thrilling as it gets.  I used to be so excited because there would be three days of festivities: Christmas Eve, Christmas, and then my birthday.   Everyone would be sad that the Christmas season was over, and I’d be over here like “Booyah! It’s my birthday”.  Another perk of having my birthday the day after Christmas is being able to spend time with all of my family and friends who are usually in town for the holidays.  It’s quite the birthday treat for me, since I don’t get to see my childhood friends very often.  I’m excited for what this year holds though. Andrew is turning 24 soon, so I guess I should be happy with 22 & listen to some T.Swift all day long {actually, preferably not…}.

Anyways, I decided to post an outfit that makes me quite happy on this ‘special’ day of mine: this girly lace hem sweater from The Mint Julep Boutique, an online boutique that has the best clothes and accessories.  Y’all have probably already realized that I have quite the collection of fall & winter knit sweaters–one of every color, every pattern, and every type….except for one with a lace hem.  I always love layering these sweaters with button downs and this blush pink color made a perfect pair with some gingham.  The Mint Julep Boutique has so many fabulous sweaters for this time of year, like this ‘better than ever’ sweater, this ‘plaid to meet you’ sweater, and this ‘rosette’ sweater.   I know this isn’t a sweater, but I’ve had my eye on this ‘urban safari’ vest the moment it hit the site.  {you know I’m a sucker for quilted vests}.
