Y’ALL. Today is THE day!!! I’ve been SO excited for this post that I could hardly stand it {can ya tell!?}. If you follow me on Snapchat, then this area may already look familiar, but I can now finally show y’all the completed family room decor reveal with Overstock! To say that I loved how this room turned out would be an understatement.
When I was planning how I wanted my family room to look {and most importantly feel}, a few words that came to mind were: inviting, cozy, rustic yet feminine, charming, and warm {aka warm tones rather than cool}. I spent countless hours researching ideas that I liked and disliked just so that I knew exactly what I wanted to do when the time came.
I was so lucky to be able to work with some amazing designers at Overstock to create the perfect family room that not only features fabulous holiday decor, but that also transitions nicely from the holidays into the new year. That transition time is crucial — it’s so easy to have holiday decor make a room feel cozy and inviting, but you still want those feelings maintained post-holiday season!
Overstock and I combined forces to give y’all my Family Room Decor Reveal, consisting of tons of amazing {and affordable} items! I’m going to go through each piece with y’all and explain why I love it and why it was chosen to create this cohesive family room look.
Rug: NuLOOM Handmade Luna Moroccan Trellis Rug (8×11): I knew I wanted a neutral rug as the foundation of my family room. Something that wasn’t just plain ivory, but a mix of beige and cream, with some sort of preppy and classic pattern to show my personal southern taste. This rug was perfect because it provided all of those things {while still being soft and cozy to snuggle up on, as opposed to a natural jute rug, for example}.
Accent Chair: Christopher Knight Home Lorenzo Fabric Studded Club Chair : This is one of my favorite pieces out of all them! It provides such a great accent to the surrounding furniture and decor. Most everything is neutral, and this dark brown accent chair gives some depth to the room, while also maintaining that rustic chic vibe.
Side Table: Harper Blvd Jacana Glam Accent Table : I’m a sucker for gold y’all. What can I say!? This tiered side table makes for a perfect accent piece and balances the rustic pieces well. I really wanted to keep both a rustic and feminine vibe to the room {without leaning too much on either side}, and this table was the perfect addition for it.
Console Table: Harper Blvd Kendall Glam Console Table : Sometimes you anticipate certain things to fit in your rooms…and then they don’t. This is one of those cases. I originally wanted this console table to be placed behind the couch where that brightly colored painting is. However, I experimented a little bit and realized how stunning it was as an entryway console table! My family room and entryway are pretty much combined and so placing this console table at the entrance provided more uniformity and cohesiveness to both areas!
Coffee Table: Decorative Tan Transitional Riau Round Coffee Table : I was thrilled for this bad boy to come in. This coffee table gave some much-needed texture to the room. Everything was so neutral that something as simple as a textured woven coffee table can make all the difference!
Lamps: Abbyson Living Mercury Antiqued Glass Table Lamp (Set of 2) : I love when lamps are paired together to form a symmetric look. Mercury glass lamps are already chic to begin with, but combining two together on this beautiful console is seriously perfect! Just the right touch of feminine, am I right?
Mirror: Ren Wil Intrepid Gold Starburst Oval Mirror : I debated on how to style this mirror for so long. I kept wanting it horizontal above my console table, and then I’d switch it to vertical…and then back to horizontal again. Eventually I decided that the vertical position provided more of a statement. It’s a beautiful, sturdy mirror that makes my entryway into the family room nothing short of stunning!
Throw Blankets: Plush Reversible Mink Faux Fur Throws : Like I said, I wanted my family room to be inviting and cozy. One of the many things I think of when I think of the word ‘cozy’ are pillows and blankets. These faux fur throw blankets did just that by tossing a few on my couch for people to snuggle up on!
Pillows: Mongolian Sheepskin Decorative Throw Pillows : How can anyone say no to these throw pillows? They’re white, soft, and fluffy — what MORE do you WANT!? P.S. they also are available in other colors too!
Twine Trees: Apothecary & Company 3-Piece LED Twine Trees (Set of 3) : I really wanted some holiday room decor accents added near my fireplace. These twine trees did just the trick! They actually light up, as well, and are battery powered!
Berry Balls: Red Berry Ball (Set of 6) : These are such a great accent for holiday room decor! Game Changer: they can actually be used as tree ornaments, as well!
Holiday Accent Pillow: Mina Victory Home for the Holiday Throw Pillow by Nourison : It’s not the holiday season without a good ol’ fashioned holiday pillow! I love this neutral one that fit in perfectly with the decor.
Shag Runner {used as throw}: nuLOOM Double Faux Flokati Sheepskin Solid Soft and Plush Cloud White Shag Runner Rug (2′ x 6′) : I love these shag runners! If I could have more than one and place them all over the house without being labeled as ‘obsessive’, I totally would. I love the idea of throwing these shag runners over chairs to provide a cozy look. It even plays into the holiday room decor, while still being able to transition into post-holiday season. Style Tip: You can also utilize this ‘shag throw’ method for kitchen chairs too!
Christmas Tree: 7.5-foot Dunhill Fir Pre-lit or Unlit Artificial Christmas Tree : I love Christmas Trees {and decorating them} more than anything! They instantly make a room inviting and warm. As much as I love real Christmas trees, I’m not only extremely allergic, but I also find it more cost-effective to use an artificial one over the years. This one is SO affordable and is of amazing quality. If you’re on a budget, but still wanting quality, then look no further!
I hope y’all enjoyed the finished product just as much as I did! Stay tuned for more home decor posts and photos of my home!

There’s not a day that goes by when I don’t feel so blessed to be Jordan’s wife. He is my everything. These photos and video are the sweetest reminder of our love for one another. So, grab a cup of coffee, pull up a seat, and try not to bawl your eyes out (because I know we did). Every time we look through our photos and watch our video, we cry the happiest tears.
It’s crazy what can happen in a year. I met the love of my life and the rest is history. I was having a hard time ending this post, because frankly, I think I could talk about that evening forever. Then I realized that this post doesn’t have an ending, but instead, a beginning. Thank you so much for all of the love, excitement, and gratitude.
One of my favorite things to do in the fall is bake my dark chocolate chip pumpkin bread! I’ve made it *so* many times for me, J, and friends & family. It’s moist, decadent, and super easy to make! It also makes for a great DIY housewarming gift.
Your family room is gorgeous I love the top hat on top of your tree.
