I loved getting to wear this festive look when I was with visiting some family in VA for the holidays. I pretty much packed my bag by throwing whatever red stuff I had in my closet into a pile, and then I tried to work with what I had.  This sweater and this vest are two of my favorite pieces.  I’m so sad that the vest sold out–although, they kept restocking them for a few months now {thankfully so, because I didn’t snag mine until later!}, but there’s a factory version that has a similar red check pattern here.  On the plus side, this sweater is still in stock! Last but not least–the boots.  These hunter boots have a special place in my heart.  I own an original tall black pair, but can’t seem to put them on now that I have the red tour packable kind.  They will, hands down, change your life.  They’re SO lightweight.  With my original black hunter boots, it’s like I’m lugging around five pounds on each foot…but these—these are so much lighter {which is also a perk for when you’re traveling!}.
