What a weekend. Andrew and I had planned to have our typical “fall activities” weekend over the last few days, but it definitely didn’t turn out as expected. Last year we did the same, and everything was perfect. The weather was amazing fall weather {not too cold, not too warm}, and everything just somehow worked out, which is actually pretty rare for us. On Saturday, we decided to go to a local farm that’s got a pumpkin patch, apple picking, an awesome store filled with homemade jams, and a restaurant. A perfect fall day right? WRONG. It’s about 20 minutes into Indiana, and for some reason, the weather was 10 degrees colder over there, extremely windy, and not to mention, that it was a complete madhouse with people everywhere. I couldn’t even buy anything from the store because it was so packed. I don’t have very much patience {go ahead, judge me}, so we left within ten minutes…
We ended up going to our favorite BBQ joint instead, which of course made everything better.
So, we’re going to attempt to carve pumpkins tonight so let’s hope nothing tragic happens. Andrew bought some “pumpkin drill” that looks a wee bit intense for me. We’re both extremely clumsy so this could potentially be dangerous. Wish us luck.
Happy Monday!

There’s not a day that goes by when I don’t feel so blessed to be Jordan’s wife. He is my everything. These photos and video are the sweetest reminder of our love for one another. So, grab a cup of coffee, pull up a seat, and try not to bawl your eyes out (because I know we did). Every time we look through our photos and watch our video, we cry the happiest tears.
It’s crazy what can happen in a year. I met the love of my life and the rest is history. I was having a hard time ending this post, because frankly, I think I could talk about that evening forever. Then I realized that this post doesn’t have an ending, but instead, a beginning. Thank you so much for all of the love, excitement, and gratitude.
One of my favorite things to do in the fall is bake my dark chocolate chip pumpkin bread! I’ve made it *so* many times for me, J, and friends & family. It’s moist, decadent, and super easy to make! It also makes for a great DIY housewarming gift.
That's what I did this weekend too! It was def chilly. I love this outfit!
