Wow! Today marks our 1 year anniversary! I can’t believe it has been A YEAR! It feels like yesterday when I was walking down the aisle — so excited and anxious to make him mine forever. That night was such a magical one, and we still flip through our vows every now and then as a reminder of what we promised one another.

This year has been quite the whirlwind for us! We’ve had so many new experiences, learned so much about one another, and have conquered both personal and professional obstacles. Marriage definitely has its ups and downs, but I wouldn’t want to do life with anyone other than Jordan! Let’s face it: life is hard…and news flash: it doesn’t get any easier. Having your best friend there during the really hard moments AND the really great moments makes those tough moments more tolerable and those awesome moments that much sweeter. We’ve grown so much within this last year not just personally, but in our relationships, profession, and marriage, and I couldn’t be more proud to be his wife.
There’s just something so beautiful about experiencing life with you, J! You’re my rock and my cheerleader, and I wouldn’t know where I {or Jeter} would be without you.
At first, I felt kind of silly writing this post. We are no pros by any means, and yes, I get it, we’re only celebrating our 1 year anniversary when there are so many more to come. BUT it’s important to celebrate the little milestones. It’s ONE YEAR. That’s important. Just as important as 2 years, or 5 years, or 10 years. I didn’t want to play it down, because this is a big deal. Each anniversary is a big deal, because that means we are conquering life together.
So, with that being said, here are
This is simple and straightforward and it goes for every aspect of life — during the highs and the lows, but especially during the lows. Waking up to your best friend and cheerleader each morning is the most precious thing in life.
I know you’re rolling your eyes on this one, but seriously, pick your battles {wisely haha}. Everyone gives this advice and I wouldn’t listen to them. Now, one year later, I understand why it’s considered such great advice.
I try not to bring in religion too frequently, but if you want to get to know me than this is an aspect of my life that’s important and close to my heart. Many of you all know we are Catholic and I’m proud of the fact that I {try to} turn to God on both the easy and hard parts of life, which can be very difficult to do sometimes {and which can be very awkward to talk about on the internet}. However, J and I have learned to translate this into our marriage.

There’s not a day that goes by when I don’t feel so blessed to be Jordan’s wife. He is my everything. These photos and video are the sweetest reminder of our love for one another. So, grab a cup of coffee, pull up a seat, and try not to bawl your eyes out (because I know we did). Every time we look through our photos and watch our video, we cry the happiest tears.
It’s crazy what can happen in a year. I met the love of my life and the rest is history. I was having a hard time ending this post, because frankly, I think I could talk about that evening forever. Then I realized that this post doesn’t have an ending, but instead, a beginning. Thank you so much for all of the love, excitement, and gratitude.
One of my favorite things to do in the fall is bake my dark chocolate chip pumpkin bread! I’ve made it *so* many times for me, J, and friends & family. It’s moist, decadent, and super easy to make! It also makes for a great DIY housewarming gift.
