Shorts: Lululemon Speed Short 4-Way Stretch, 2.5 inches | Top: Lululemon Kitsilano Mock Neck Long Sleeve | Sports Bra: Lululemon Fast Lane Bra | Shoes: Nike Free RN Distance Shield Running Shoe | Watch: Polar A360 {with polar strap} | Earrings: Givenchy Pave Stud Earrings
These neon running shorts are perfect to wear when hitting the gym or for a nice run outside! They’re available in so many other colors, as well — so if you’re not feeling the brightness {and aggressiveness} of this neon color, then definitely check out the more subtle colors over here. I ended up also purchasing black and fuchsia — although, the salmon color was definitely on my radar.
I rarely wear shorts to work out in. To be honest, I never wear shorts to work out in, but for some reason, I thought I’d give these ones a chance {mostly because the color selection was phenomenal}. I ended up REALLY liking them, and I felt extremely comfortable in them. However, they’re pretty short {and are meant to be short}, so I do not and would not wear them for leg day. I think that would be weird for everyone involved, ‘mkay? So, I’ll stick with the align pant for leg day, and sport my neon running shorts when I do cardio and for back, chest, or shoulder day!
Funny side note: when Marilyn was taking these photos, she told me that my booty reminded her of Khloe Kardashian {keep in mind, she 100% meant it as an insult}. I, of course, took it as a compliment, because I’ve been working on my a$$ gains for 3 months now. Bulked that booty up and lifted extremely heavy for awhile, so it was nice to hear that it *apparently* worked. Let’s just hope pre-summer shredding doesn’t take it all away, because I would actually cry.
Now, without further adieu, this week’s workout routine is below! Also, I uploaded so many new WORKOUT VIDEOS in The Daily Fix last night — these are great to use as reference for some of the exercises and I try to link them when applicable!

There’s not a day that goes by when I don’t feel so blessed to be Jordan’s wife. He is my everything. These photos and video are the sweetest reminder of our love for one another. So, grab a cup of coffee, pull up a seat, and try not to bawl your eyes out (because I know we did). Every time we look through our photos and watch our video, we cry the happiest tears.
It’s crazy what can happen in a year. I met the love of my life and the rest is history. I was having a hard time ending this post, because frankly, I think I could talk about that evening forever. Then I realized that this post doesn’t have an ending, but instead, a beginning. Thank you so much for all of the love, excitement, and gratitude.
One of my favorite things to do in the fall is bake my dark chocolate chip pumpkin bread! I’ve made it *so* many times for me, J, and friends & family. It’s moist, decadent, and super easy to make! It also makes for a great DIY housewarming gift.
I’ve been following your workouts for a couple of weeks, and I have been more motivated than ever. I am trying to get ready for my wedding (my goal is to look like you)
Also.. Have you ever done a review on your blog about your polar watch? I have a polar but looking to upgrade 🙂
Happy Monday, and thank you for the motivation to get up and get to the gym this morning!!!
Hi Brook! Well, first off, congratulations on being a bride-to-be! That’s so exciting! Second, I’m thrilled to hear that you’re motivated and that you’ve been following along with my workouts. If you ever have any questions or anything, let me know! I’ll be adding exercise videos more frequently to the Daily Fix so make sure to check those out! I’ve never done a review — but that’s a great idea. I’ll definitely do a review on it this week or next! Personally, I LOVE it. I love all polar products. I actually had a pretty old polar watch {with the strap} and wanted to upgrade. I ended up trying the fitbit blaze and hated it, especially since the HR was completely off and I couldn’t even add a strap to make it more accurate when working out. I went ahead and got the polar a360 and loved it! I still wear my HR strap with it when working out, but when I travel, I’ll wear just the watch and it’s still *decently* accurate {more so than other watches that I’ve tried}. I highly recommend it if you’re looking for something to wear while working out to track calories and heart rate! Hope that’s helpful! xx
Yes, that is exactly why I love polar too (the HR accuracy)! I had an FT4 for the longest time and now the A300 but I love the look of the A360.
Thank you so much, and if I have any questions I’ll be sure to ask 🙂
Nice hams. 😉 Speed shorts were one of my first lulu purchases *years* ago and that style is still my go-to! I have about 20 pairs. I wish I could be wearing mine, but there’s 2 ft of snow outside. 🙁 Come quickly, spring!
Hi Suzanne! Those shorts are really the best! I’m currently in Florida for the week, so I had to snag some bright colors for it :). I completely agree though — I’m ready for spring stat! Hope you have a great week gf! xx
When you say HITT, what hitt workouts are you doing?
I’m doing 20-30 minutes of interval sprints on a cardio machine! I typically do the stairmaster, just because it’s so challenging, but I also love treadmill sprints. For example, I’ll run up the stairmaster {level 20} for 30 seconds, and rest for 30 seconds {around level 3}. For the treadmill, I’ll sprint for 30 seconds, and then rest for about 45 seconds. You can do this technique for any cardio machine though! It’s fun to do on a spin bike, as well! xx
Hey girl!
Thanks for always sharing your work out and exercises! You are too kind!
I was wondering if you have a certain way of logging work outs and tracking progress.
Do you write out work outs before going to gym or have them on your phone to look at? Do you log your weights that you use for specific exercises to keep track and know your strength?
I usually have my workouts types on the “notes”, but often I get comments from people at the gym about “texting while working out”. When in all reality I am looking to see my next superset or exercise.
Any advice for those questions?
Hi Marenda! When I first started out lifting, I would write them on my Notes app in my phone the night before a workout and would follow along on my phone {we’re twins}. Now that I post my workouts on my site, I’ll reference that directly on my phone if necessary, but typically I have it memorized! However, I go to my gym during a crazy busy time, so typically, I’ll have to alter my workouts. Once you get the hang of the exercises, you become more comfortable with creating workouts on the whim! I do not log my weights, but always try to consistently challenge myself. I’m familiar with how much weight I use on most exercises, so I know when to add a few extra pounds when I need to challenge myself.
Also, texting during a workout is kind of taboo only at certain gyms, but I’m literally always on my phone. I’m either looking for a new playlist of songs, checking out my next exercise…or actually texting. I work out pretty hard, and it shows {I’m sweaty and out of breath}, so most people never give me a hard time if I take 5 minutes to be on my phone. If they did, I would probably yell back at them haha. Do what you want girl! If you need to get out your phone for a workout, you do it! xx
Thank you for posting the videos! I’ve been trying to stick with your work out week by week, so it’s really helpful to be able to reference them! 🙂
Hi Karen! Thrilled to hear that! Let me know if you ever have any suggestions on what type of workouts to record for y’all! xx
I am seriously in love with your workouts. I have been following yours for almost a year now, and they definitely kick my booty and really helped me step up my game in the gym. Thank you for posting them each week.
Hi Kim! This just made my day! I love that these workouts are challenging your gym game– Let me know if you have any questions or suggestions!
xx
I too am a gym rat, although I have fallen off recently due to a crazy work schedule (excuses don’t make gains…I know!)
One thing that I learned to help grow your booty, oddly enough, is hammies! Weird, I know! But when you develop your hamstrings it adds that cut right under your glutes that helps to define and pop your booty.
My favorite hamstring workout is RDLs. Try incorporating them, you will thank me…after your done cursing me out. 🙂 They hurt SO good!!
Your meal prep posts and weekly routines are such a nice reminder what it is that I love about the gym lifestyle. Thank you for giving me that little extra push to get back. Summer is right around the corner after all!
*side note: best BCAAs hands down are SciVation Xtend in blue razz…tastes like candy.
Hi Emily! Thanks so much for your tips! 1) Definitely buying those BCAAs to try them. I’m a nerd and get excited about stuff like that. It’s the little things in life haha. 2) I 100% need to do more RDLs! I just sometimes get nervous on my form. But, like, trying to get those booty gains soooo I need to suck it up.
So happy that my meal preps and weekly routines motivate you {even if it’s just a little bit, because you already seem motivated!}. Always love hearing tips and suggestions! Thanks girl!
xx
What self tanner do you use? It looks amazing!
I’m Lebanese so I’ve got a natural olive skin tone! However, so many of my friends use St. Tropez self tanner and rave about it! xx
This looks like a great routine . Need to do it !!

Grace,
When did you start working out with purpose and really begin a fit lifestyle (diet included)?
I am wanting to focus more on lifting weights in the gym but don’t know what steady progress looks like and am lost when it comes to lifting weights for beginners.
Any advice would help.
Thanks! xx
–Mary
Hey! I’ll start off saying I LOVE your blog! I am in the market for some pre-workout and I was wondering if you had a preference between the C4 ripped and the one you posted today? Thanks!!
Hi Courtney! Thanks for following along! I really like both. C4 is a little sweeter, while Engineered Body is more sour {and contains stevia}. Hope that helps! xx
Love your top! What size is it? I am asking for reference because it’s on the sale section on lululemons website but it’s all final sale. It seems to run small though, is that true? Love your blog.
Hi Katie! I stayed TTS — it does run a little more fitted than other tops so if you like it a little loose, I would size up one size! xx
