Ugh, y’all.  I have an obsession.  I cannot stop with activewear and athleisure outfits, especially when I got my hands on this color block sports bra.  There’s nothing like a good workout outfit.  If you’re ever not feeling motivated to hit the gym, seriously just get a new outfit or some new leggings {or anything gym-related for that matter}.  It really puts some pep in your step! I feel 10x better when I’m rocking some new gym clothes.

That’s why I felt zero regret when I purchased this color block sports bra and these printed leggings.  I also wear athleisure SO frequently during the week, so new activewear clothing is always a good idea in my book.

Here is my weekly workout routine for this week! A little different, just to switch things up a bit!  End with abs each day {you can work abs daily :), lucky us}

Monday: Legs {Quads, Hamstrings, Glutes, Calves} + HIIT

  • Mountain Climbers : 50 reps total, 4 sets
  • Jump Squats: 15 reps, 4 sets
  • Weighted Squats with Dumbell: 15 reps, 4 sets

*after completed a set of each exercise, do 15 burpees*

  • Alternating Jump Lunges: 30 reps total, 4 sets
  • Donkey Kicks: 20 reps each leg, 4 sets
  • Full Range Squats {lower than parallel}: 20 reps, 4 sets

*after each set, jump rope for 2 full minutes*

  • Weighted Walking Lunges: 30 total reps, 4 sets
  • Weighted Wall Sits: for 1 minute, 4 sets
  • Weighted Step-Ups: 15 reps each leg, 4 sets

*after each set, do 30 jumping jacks*

Tuesday: Shoulders + HIIT

28 Method for each one!

  • Military Barbell Presses: 28 reps, 3 sets
  • Lateral Raises: 28 reps, 3 sets
  • Upright Rows: 28 reps, 3 sets
  • Dumbbell Shrugs: 28 reps, 3 sets
  • Rear Delt Flyes: 28 reps, 3 sets
  • Face Pulls:: 28 reps, 3 sets

Wednesday: Take a Full Body Class like TRX, typically focuses on core & glutes

Thursday: Chest & Triceps + Low Intensity Cardio

  • Flat Barbell Bench Presses: 10 reps, 3 sets
  • Tricep Pushdowns: 12 reps, 3 sets
  • Incline Barbell Bench Presses: 10 reps, 3 sets
  • Skullcrushers: 8 reps, 3 sets
  • Push-Ups: 30 reps {you can pause in between if needed}, 3 sets
  • Bench Dips: 20 total reps, 3 sets
  • Cable Crossovers: 10 reps, 3 sets
  • Tricep Pulls on Rope: 12 reps, 3 sets

Friday: Legs {Mostly Glutes} & Abs + HIIT ….OR optional rest day

  • Barbell Thrusts: 15 reps, 15 pulses, 4 sets
  • Alternating Hamstring Curls: 12 reps each, 4 sets

*sprint on high incline treadmill for 0.10 mile after each set*

  • Bulgarian Split Lunges: 15 reps each leg, 4 sets
  • Front Squats with EZ Barbell: 15 full reps {full range}, 4 sets

*sprint on high incline treadmill for 0.10 mile after each set*

  • Back Squats: 12 reps, 4 sets
  • Leg Extensions: 15 reps, 15 pulses, 4 sets

Saturday: Back & Biceps + HIIT

  • Medium Grip Pulldowns: 28 method, 3 sets
  • Bicep Curls with EZ Barbell: 21 method, 3 sets
  • 5-Count Single Arm Cable Row: 8 reps each arm, 3 sets
  • Cable Hammer Curls: 21 method, 3 sets
  • Rep Hold Seated Rows: 8 reps, 3 sets
  • Outer Bicep Curls: 21 method, 3 sets
  • Pull Ups: 12 reps, 3 sets
  • Preacher Curls: 21 method, 3 sets

Sunday: Rest Day

    I just started reading your blog and I love all of the fitness posts! What do you typically do for HIIT?

    • Thanks so much, and welcome :). I typically do sprints on the stairmaster, treadmill, or elliptical! Or sometimes I’ll create a cardio circuit of my own involving burpees, jumping jacks, etc. Hope that helps!
