This outfit was what I wore for the first night {Friday night} of the Southern Blog Society Conference.  I had such a great time! It was so great getting to finally meet everyone in person and the coffee talk was AWESOME: Susan from Ahalogy, Anika from Shopsense, and Amy from Recipe for Press.  All the events were just stunningly beautiful too.  Oh, and I must say, Danielle from Lou What Wear and I are like “peas and carrots”.  We started our 6 hour journey Friday morning, where thirty minutes into the trip, my check oil light came on.  {Awesome.}  We stopped at a gas station where my father was on the phone and was trying to talk me through how to check my oil level with a dipstick.  {Luckily, a man out of complete nowhere showed up to help.}

The weekend definitely made up for that little bump in the road {I’m so punny}.  Danielle and I loved getting good food and awesome drinks– I can tell it’s the start to a beautiful, yet severely disturbing, friendship.  She’s just as vulgar and sarcastic as me, and her one-liners are on point, every. single. time.

 It’s weird to see people and friends from their blogs in real life.  It’s especially weird when their voice doesn’t fit what you expected it to be or their height or their mannerisms, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing.  Buuut, I have learned a few things from this weekend though:

1) I’m extremely grateful for my friends that make fun of my blog, post hideous photos of me on purpose, and give me a hard time for taking selfies.  They’re what keep me knowing and believing that I’m a nerd for life– coolness is overrated.

2) I’m even more grateful for my awesome boyfriend and the time he puts into helping take my pictures.  I would be an awful blogger without him and sometimes I forget to thank him for being so supportive.

3) A majority of people have a Kendra Scott obsession, while I just have a food obsession.  Interpret that as you please.

4) Atlanta is miserably hot. #upperlipsweat

 Oh, and did I mention that SBS absolutely spoiled us with all of the swag bags?! I don’t even know where to put all of this fab stuff!
