A stripe drop waist dress and some comfortable Born shoes {available at Dillard’s} makes for the perfect spring uniform! Typically, I tend to stick with stripe swing dresses, but this drop waist dress spices things up a little bit, don’t ya think?

Spring is the season for all things wedding-related.  I can’t tell you how many bridal showers I’ve attended already {as well as hosted}.  For those of you who follow along on Snapchat, you may have seen me just co-host one of my best girlfriend’s bridal shower last weekend! It was such a fun event {with tons of fun games} — and I may be a little biased, but we killed it with the mimosa bar + food.  I’ll be doing a blog post on throwing a bridal shower soon, so stay tuned!

The one thing that you do at these showers, besides having fun with your girls and sipping champagne, is stand on your feet the WHOLE time! I mean, yeah there are seats available, but 90% of the time you’re chatting and mingling with people and walking around.  Now, if you’re hosting a shower, you might as well add to that list ‘sprinting’ from the kitchen to the dining room multiple times.  Therefore, it’s REALLY important to wear comfortable shoes during these situations.  I’m typically reluctant to choose *really* comfortable shoes, because most of those options sacrifice style.  Yeah, my standard open toed pumps might do the trick and make things bearable, but *bearable* isn’t going to cut it at these events.

That’s why I turn to my Born Annaleigh Sandals, and psh, they saved my booty! They’re not only an adorable open toed wedge that comes in multiple colors, but they are also so so comfortable! You may have noticed on my Snapchat that I went from co-hosting this bridal shower straight to church straight to dinner THEN grabbed a few drinks with my friends.  I barely had time to take a seat and rest, so my Born footwear that’s currently available at Dillard’s over here really came in handy.  Andrew also was quite the helper all weekend for this bridal shower {now that’s a good boyfriend, y’all}.  He helped me get the house ready for the shower and get everything set up & organized.  He relies on his Born Allan Drivers to get him through long work days…and even longer weekends with me {ha! The things I make him help me with!}.
