See that be-A-utiful tan up there? Ok, ok, well I’m usually this tan, but that’s beside the point. I’m teaming up with Sun Tan City’s Style Squad to help introduce their Weekday Getaway deals. They are having 5 days of deals within the month of August, all being a different deal every day of the week.
The outfit above is inspired by this Weekday Getaway because if you can’t tell, I’m the kind of girl that enjoys being out by the beach, pool, and in the sun. I actually just recently got away for a few days and went to Nashville at the beginning of the week for a neurotrauma conference. Although I had fun and learned a lot, it wasn’t really my definition of the perfect relaxed getaway. If I could, I would go to the beach for the day if I lived somewhere tropical. My parents are currently in St. Martin’s and the pictures of the gorgeous beaches are kind of making me bitter. Why don’t they rub it in some more? #rude (pronounce the “hashtag” obviously).
Since I physically can’t get to a beach for a getaway for the day unless I try to apparate, I decided to wear this tropical floral dress. I would try to get away for delicious lunch on the river and this would be the perfect outfit (for me). Throw on some wedges and I’d be good to go. I also sometimes tend to overdress (it’s a bad…or good?…habit of mine), so I threw on a statement necklace to spice it up. Although I’m unable to take a really fabulous getaway during the week, it looks like my getaway for this weekend will be the usual spinning class, some time by the pool, and hours and hours of sleep in that comfy bed of mine (I’m seriously exhausted after this week). I’ll pretend that I’m somewhere tropical sipping on a pina colada.
